Our first wedding from 2012 is released to Ashley and Michael’s adoring public!
But first… wind.
Why is there always wind in Colorado lately? Every weekend for years (it seems) the wind shows up. Ashley and Michael’s early Spring 2012 wedding was no exception, AND they got a generous dose of freezing cold, too! Ahh, Colorado! Bluebird skies that morning gave way to driving winds and looming storms that afternoon.
But it was no problem because our clients are bad-asses. Ain’t no wind gonna wreck their awesome day! Everybody was too pumped about the wedding to even feel the cold (a few cocktails don’t hurt, either), and when the wind decided to get “a little attitude”, we just waited a bit. Wind always blows itself out. Just wait, fix the hair, take a deep breath, and rock on!
As I mentioned in their post about their engagement session, Ashley is the 3th bride in a line of brides who have referred us to their family and friends. She was a bridesmaid at Erin’s wedding we shot last year (Erin was Ashley’s bridesmaid here), and she was a guest at her cousin’s wedding we photographed in 2010!
I LOVE photographing with people we have worked with before, especially during the family formals. Practically everybody on Ashley’s side we’d photographed before in a wedding, and they were orderly veterans who “knew the score”. The best part was that Jocelyn (Ashley’s cousin and our 2010 bride) took over as unofficial wedding coordinator, and she was running the whole family shoot! She did an amazing job.
Thank you, Ashley and Michael for entrusting us with these awesome memories.
Thank you, Erin, for entrusting us with your wedding.
Thank you, Jocelyn, for picking us way back when and introducing us to your wonderful family!
