Jenny & Kate’s Same-Sex Wedding at the Historic Pinecrest Event Center
Char and I were activists for marriage equality for our whole adult lives, and when same-sex marriage became legal in the U.S., we rejoiced! Since then, we’ve been honored to participate in an increasing number of same-sex ceremonies each year.
From the moment they exchanged letters during their reveal before the ceremony, the tears and laughter was flowing. After 14 years of photography, I still can’t describe clearly that “je nais se quoi” that we love to see in our couples. It’s that shining essence of love and joy, and you can see it. It’s like the world’s best Instagram filter: it literally makes people more interesting and attractive when you catch them in that energy in a photo.
Jenny and Kate had it. And it was an honor to capture their beginning of their life-long love story together.
