Meet Heather, secret psychic and prognosticator extraordinaire.
How do I know she is psychic? Because she knew it was going to pour rain when our session was originally was scheduled for that evening. I’d been checking the weather, and it wasn’t really guaranteed to rain, just a 40% chance. In Colorado terms, that’s REAL hit or miss. I mean, most days I look at the weather we have a 40% chance of rain (it seems). So, I wasn’t overly concerned.
But Heather was. She called and said, “We need to move it. It is going to downpour.”
So I moved it. And it was awesome. In fact, I prefer to shoot early in the morning. I’m a morning guy myself, and I feel at my energetic-best in the early morning. Alas, the rest of the world isn’t like me and I hardly get to shoot in the early morning. But Heather was insistent because Mark was only in town for a few days.
And there we were, bright and early, and we found some awesome places to shoot at Black Forest Regional Park. I loved it, and I think the photos speak for how much fun Heather and Mark had.
And needless to say, that evening, it rained. And not just a little rain, but a ton. The kind of downpour that kills potted plants and makes you worry about basement-flooding when the water starts to accumulate in your window-wells.
Well done, Heather. Thank you for bringing your powers of precognition to bear and take what would have been an absolute loss of a session and help turn it into sunlight glory!
I can’t wait for the wedding!
