Many of you wonderful people don’t know that I am from South Park.

That’s right: South Park, CO. The REAL South Park (and yes, it’s just like the show).

But that’s not the point.

The point is this: because there is nothing to really do for a job as a teenager in South Park, we listless teens spent all of our summers and college breaks working over in Breckenridge, my other home-town. I say “over” because while it’s only 18 miles away (as the crow flies), one has to ascend Hoosier Pass and safely traverse the Continental Divide in order to get there. While this may seem like a daunting drive, most of us highlanders from South Park go about 65 MPH on the downhill, so it’s still only about a 20 minute drive to work…

Anyway, I am mentioning this little tidbit of my youth not only because Kasia and Michael’s engagement session was in stunning Breckenridge, but because Kasia grew up in Breck. So, on this perfect winter day, as all the tourists were standing in lift-lines on the slopes, we were rocking out an awesome engagement session in town.

And the best part about shooting in Breck? The random photo-bombing. Folks aren’t shy there and there were many golden moments where people decided to photo-bomb these two. I’ve included my favorite, but there were many more that I didn’t even catch while shooting (some not so appropriate). Ahhhh, Breck. Gotta love ya.

And how great is it to get couples as gorgeous together as Kasia and Michael? There was one older couple that walked between us while shooting and I just waved them through and apologized, “It’s okay, you’re fine, you’re fine…”

I heard the wife start to scold the husband, “You just walked between him and his models! Why did you do that? You shouldn’t have done that…”

I tried to call out, “It’s really no biggie! I’m technically in YOUR way!” But they didn’t seem to hear me. But the cool part of her scolding was she said “his models”. That’s how awesome Kasia and Michael looked walking around town: some people thought they were models! How awesome!
